Windsor Community Children’s Centre to stay open

Windsor Community Children's Centre was on the brink of closure.

With the landlord seeking to sell the site, and few alternatives for relocation, this valuable service looked set to end after 48 years of providing childcare.

However, I’m delighted that, in coordination with all levels of government, we've managed to keep it open.

Working together with local Federal MP, Josh Burns, and Stonnington City Council, a solution was reached for the Centre to remain open at its current site in 2026.

I'm so pleased for the educators and parents at Windsor Community Children’s Centre. I visited the site several times to discuss the issue with educators and administrators, and it was clear that this place holds special meaning for so many.

Well done to all those who campaigned so hard - this outcome is for all of you, and I hope Windsor Community Children’s Centre can continue to provide quality care for local children long into the future.
