Clubs to benefit from upgrade to Peterson Reserve

There was a win in the budget for three sporting clubs who call Highett’s Peterson Street Reserve home, with $250,000 provided by the state government to support upgrades to facilities.

The Hampton Hammers Football Club, Highett West Cricket Club, and East Sandringham Junior Football Club all play at this reserve, which is the final oval in Bayside to be upgraded with modern facilities for its members and players.

The state government contribution comes alongside investment from the City of Bayside, which will lead the project upgrades.

It was a pleasure to recently join Richard, Anthony and Graeme, representing the three clubs, and local Councillor Andrew Hockley, who has done so much to get this project rolling, at Peterson Street Reserve to deliver the good news.

I look forward to seeing the progress of the project.
