Investing in Safe and Inclusive Communities

Strong communities are built on safety, support, and opportunity, which is why this year’s investments continue to focus on community wellbeing and crime prevention.

New funding will strengthen community safety through additional police resources (including new PSOs), crime prevention initiatives, and expanded support services for victims of crime.

The Budget also continues investment in programs that support vulnerable Victorians and strengthen community connections, helping to ensure Southern Metro remains a safe, inclusive, and welcoming place to live.
